AI Slop Filter for LinkedIn — Hide AI Posts · Last updated: 14 June 2026

The short version: This extension collects nothing, sends nothing, and stores nothing outside your own browser. All detection runs 100% locally on your device. There is no server, no analytics, and no third party involved.

What data we collect

None. The extension does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information or browsing activity. We operate no backend servers and make no network requests with your data.

How the extension works

The extension reads the text of posts in your LinkedIn feed entirely within your browser in order to score how likely each post is to be AI-generated, and then hides, blurs, or labels posts above your chosen threshold. This analysis happens locally and in real time. Post content is never sent anywhere and is not retained after the post leaves the screen.

What is stored, and where

Your settings — filter mode, sensitivity, per-author allowlist, on/off state, and a local "posts filtered today" counter — are saved using Chrome's storage.sync API. This data lives in your own Google/ Chrome profile and, if you have Chrome Sync enabled, syncs across your own devices via Google. It is never transmitted to the developer. You can erase it at any time by removing the extension or clearing its storage.

Permissions we request, and why

Third parties

There are none. No analytics SDKs, no trackers, no external API calls, no remotely hosted code.

Children's privacy

The extension is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.
